The Last Class ( Canvas Painting )

This is our last class in our Foundation In Design.

We did the canvas painting with listening different type of music which are the pop music and classical music.

We were doing 2 different sizes canvases which were 50 cm x 60 cm and 60 cm by 90 cm.


At first, the biggest challenge we faced before we started to draw our canvases - We need to paint to music!

After the music start, everyone relax and enjoy the music. At the same time, we think about the inspiration to draw on our first canvas.

For my first canvas, after I heard the pop music, suddenly I think about the "music chairs" game.
 I still remember I always play this game during every Chinese New Year.
I started to miss my home, my family and all my cousin sisters and brothers.
Next month 31th is Chinese New Year, I hope I still have the chance to play the "music chairs" game with all of them. Although now all of us are not that young like before, we still always act like a child. =)

I paint my first canvas in red background because my mind just think about the happy moment of Chinese New Year. I hope I can faster go back my hometown and very excited for the coming New Year celebration.

    I added some gold gilters on my canvas to make the canvas look more interesting .

                                                          

The second paint to music canvas was to listen to the classical songs.
I love classical song since I learn piano when I was 4.
I spend more then 2hours everyday to play piano before I study in university.
I miss my grand piano so much when I listen to the classical songs during we draw the canvas.

This is my first time painting on the canvas. I very like the soft surface of the canvas. Is very new for me when I paint on it. I hope next time when I free, I can paint my own canvas again with some soft music.

This was our last class we spent our time together. I started to think back all the happy moments we spent together. I will treasure all my works that I have done in this foundation. I am so happy that I really grow up from January until the end of the year. I have learn a lot of new things from all the lecturers.

Batik !

Today we went to a Batik trip!
Before that we came out with a group of four!
Ailsa, Jean, Raymond and Me~
We made a design before went to there which was "The Colour Of the Sky."
From the Morning( from bottom) to the Night.

We decide the colours before we did the sketch.

This is some example that we found on the web.

After that, we divide the sketch into four pieces.

The process of doing the batik was hard.

The hardest part to do the batik is to draw out the outlines with wax.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After we draw the outline with the wax, we put the colour that we

choose on the surface of the clothes.

 

 

 

Yeah~ finally, I done my batik!

We really enjoy this batik trip and this is our last trip that we can spent our last time in

our foundation.

 

 

 

Major Assignment (Monogram)

This are some different designs of my monograms to choose.

Is hard for me to choose the final monogram between this two design.

Finally,

I chosen this as my monogram. 

I very like the design.

We were asking for print our monogram on 6 different items.
And I came out with some ideas which is ....


    

I printed all my items with my own monogram.

printed with Purple colour.

                              Sleeping Shoes and the Floor Mat.   I choose Pink for my floor mat

                                       Therefore, is better for using Purple for my monogram.

I really like all my work. 

This really look so nice and special 

for having our own monogram

on different items.

References (Book)

We were asking to find some idea from the book that we borrow from the library. 

Therefore, we will not just get all the examples from the internet. 

Before we make our own monogram, we should find some different ideas from 

other sources. 

Books are very helpful to us too. 

I found a book from the library which I found there was a lot of interesting pictures inside that book. 

 

First, I found this in the book.

This is the 2 mushrooms inside the black space.

This was the design from the Frost Design Australia.

With the presence of the 2 mushrooms make this negative space.

Therefore, make the design look cute and special. 

The presence of the 2 mushrooms form a alphabet which is M. 

Beside the alphabet M, the 2 mushrooms also form 2 alphabets "A". 

The 2 mushrooms able to make a big change to this black space.

I learn the concept from this book

which is the simple way to make thing look

special and nice.

 

The second picture that i found interesting 

was this!

All the lines is in sequence.

The special design of this one was the change of the line`s thickness.

Some lines get closer and some was further apart. 

This created the rhythms between the lines. 

This was more complex by the change of colour which is black and pink.

I really like this picture.

Therefore, i make a decision which

put this concept to make my

MONOGRAM!

I will combine the monogram design with the idea of the lines.
